For communities
Your community’s tournaments, run inside Discord
FateLeague is the bot behind Fate League. Players register, check in, report and collect cards without leaving Discord, and every result lands on a public page like the ones on this site.
9 events run with it in the Fate League Discord so far.
What it does
Events from sign-up to final
Registration, waitlist, check-in, decklists, pairings and results in Discord, for single elimination, double elimination and Swiss. Reporting is two presses, and your opponent can flag a wrong result.
A public record
Every event gets a page with its players, bracket and results, and every player a profile and a place on the season ladder.
A card collection, free
Members open free packs of the game’s cards in one room. Cards are collector prints with no value: nothing is ever sold, and the odds are published.
Tickets and a start-here board
Ask staff opens a private room for one member and your staff. One board, kept up to date in place, tells newcomers what is on and how to play.
What it never does
- Asks for Administrator.
- Pings everyone in your server, or one game’s players about another game.
- Posts anything until you set it up.
- Sends a member a DM they did not switch on.
- Reads your members’ messages.
- Sells anything random, or shows a member a price or an upgrade.
What it asks for, and why
Adding it asks for five plain permissions. The rest are asked for later, only when you switch on a feature that needs them.
When you add it
- View channels
- To see the rooms you choose for it.
- Send messages
- To post event cards, pairings and results.
- Embed links
- To show event pages as previews.
- Attach files
- To post bracket and card pictures.
- Read message history
- To edit its own posts in place.
Only when a feature needs it
- Manage roles
- For game roles members pick themselves, and an event’s competitor role.
- Manage channels
- For event rooms and ticket rooms.
- Create events
- For Discord’s own event listing, so members can press Interested.
What is free
Free for every server, with no player ever asked to pay:
- Events from sign-up to final, with every format above.
- The season ladder, event pages and player profiles on the site.
- Tickets and the start-here board.
- The card collection, for the games whose art rights cover your server.
Paid plans will sell service to a server, like bigger events, leagues and your own branding. Prices are not set yet, and members will never see them.
See it live
Fate League runs on it every week. Look around before you ask.
Ask for early access
FateLeague is in private testing with a few communities. Tell us about yours: join the Fate League Discord, open a ticket with Ask staff, and say which game you run.
Questions server owners ask
Will it flood my server?
No. It posts only in the rooms you choose, edits its own posts instead of adding new ones, and pings a game’s role only for that game’s events.
Does it cost anything?
Not during early access. When paid plans arrive, everything on the free list above stays free.
Which games does it run?
Any game played one against one with a result. The card collection covers the games whose studios have agreed to it.
Who can add it?
Someone with Manage Server in your Discord. Discord lists only the servers you can add it to.
What does it keep about my members?
Their Discord name, what they register for, their results and their cards. The FateLeague privacy page lists every item and how long it is kept.
