Draft for review. This text is not in force yet.
Registering
You register yourself, with your Discord account, while you are a member of the event’s server. One registration per person per event.
Registration stays open until check-in closes. When an event is full you join the waitlist, in the order you joined.
Check-in
Check-in opens and closes when each event states (it usually closes 5 minutes before the start). If you are registered and do not check in, you are marked as a no-show.
On the waitlist, mark yourself ready during check-in. At the close, ready players are seated in waitlist order while seats remain.
When an event needs decklists, check in with a complete list. Lists lock when check-in closes.
Decklists
Before the lock, only you and the organisers see your list. When check-in closes, the lists of seated players become public, unless the event says otherwise. Lists of players who were not seated are never published.
No list, no check-in, no seat: when an event needs decklists, you cannot check in until yours is complete, and a player who has not checked in when check-in closes is not seated.
Reporting results
Either player reports the winner and the game score. The first report stands; there is no confirm step.
The player who reported can undo for 30 minutes, until the next match fed by it has a result.
If a result is wrong, flag it. A flag goes privately to the event’s organisers; the match shows "Under review" until they decide. The reason and who flagged are never shown.
No-shows and drops
If your opponent has not shown 15 minutes after your match is ready, you can claim a no-show. The match is recorded as a forfeit, and the absent player leaves the event.
You can drop out at any time. Your open match goes to your opponent, and any later match you would have played is forfeited.
Placements and points
Placements come from the bracket. Players knocked out at the same point share a placement, for example 5th to 8th.
Season points: 15 for playing, 3 per match won, and a placement bonus. A bye counts for nothing on the ladder.
Results become final when the organiser confirms them. For 72 hours after that, an organiser can still correct a result through a ticket.
Conduct
Every event follows the Fate League code of conduct.
