FateLeague terms

Draft for review. This text is not in force yet.
Who we are
FateLeague is a Discord app that runs tournaments, a card collection, tickets and a start-here board for game communities. Fate League is the league and the Discord server where it began.
The app is run by [OPERATOR NAME], [OPERATOR ADDRESS]. You can reach us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] or with Ask staff in the Fate League Discord.
Agreeing to these terms
By using a FateLeague command or button you agree to these terms, the house rules for cards and the code of conduct of the server you use it in. If you do not agree, do not use the bot.
You must meet Discord’s minimum age for your country, which is at least 13. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian knows you use Discord and FateLeague.
These terms sit beside Discord’s own Terms of Service, which still apply to everything you do on Discord.
What the bot does
Events: register, join a waitlist, check in, submit decks, report results, flag a result, drop out, and see your matches.
The Collection: open free packs of collectible cards, see your collection, guess Wild Cards, and later craft and trade cards.
Help: open a private ticket with the server’s staff. Staff tools: for people the server has given staff rights.
The bot answers most commands privately, only to you. Some things are public on purpose: packs you open in the rip room, cards you choose to show off, match requests in the find-a-match room, and event posts such as pairings, results and decklists after the deck lock. The bot never asks for Administrator, never mentions everyone, and never sends you a direct message unless you switch DMs on.
Using the bot fairly
Do not use the bot to harass, threaten or spam anyone, including through match requests, flags, tickets or messages to an opponent.
Do not report a result you know is wrong, or claim a no-show against an opponent who was there.
Do not use a second account to enter an event, to get around a bar, or to trade with yourself.
Do not automate the bot or try to break it, overload it, or get at data that is not yours. If you find a security problem, tell us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and do not use it.
Do not sell cards or packs, or offer, ask for or pay money, in-game items, crypto or anything of value for them.
Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, removal from an event, a bar from events, the loss of cards or packs gained by breaking them, or a bar from the bot. You can ask staff to review any decision through a ticket.
Cards and packs
Nothing is ever sold. No packs, charges, odds, guarantees or speed-ups are sold, now or later. Players never pay for anything.
Cards have no value. They are Fate League collector prints, not in-game cards, and not NFTs. They cannot be sold or exchanged for money or anything of value. When trading arrives it is card for card only.
Odds are published for every pack, including the guarantees, on the odds page and behind the Odds button. Every pack uses the same odds.
Sets can leave packs. A game’s set can stop appearing in new packs, for example when a partner agreement ends. Cards you already own stay yours. If a game withdraws permission for its art, we replace the image with a placeholder that keeps the card’s name.
If a pack, reward or card was given by a fault or by breaking these terms, we can remove it, and we tell you when we do.
We can change the Collection for everyone, with notice in the rip room. A change never touches odds that are already published: new odds get a new version with its date.
Events and prizes
Each event follows the competition rules and anything its own page adds. Results come from players and the event’s staff; the bot records them and never decides one on its own.
Event staff can correct results, rule on flags, and remove or disqualify players under the rules and the code of conduct.
Prizes are set by the organiser of each event and are only ever for placement, never for cards or packs. A prize won by someone under 18 is paid through a parent or guardian. Game developers play out of competition: they take no prizes and no ranking points.
What you send us
When you submit an in-game name, deck codes, a deck screenshot, a flag note or a ticket, you allow us to store it and show it where the feature needs it: your decklist is public after the event’s deck lock, and your in-game name is shown to your opponent. Do not put other people’s personal details in notes or tickets.
Games, art and names
Card art, card names, game names and their logos belong to their game developers and are used with their permission. Using the bot gives you no right to use any of them outside it.
Availability, ending and changes
We work to keep the bot running and post its state at [STATUS PAGE URL], but it can be slow, down or wrong at times, and features can change or stop.
You can stop using the bot at any time and ask us to delete your data. We can suspend or end your use of the bot if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if Discord removes your account.
The bot is free and provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law gives you. These terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW].
When these terms change, the date at the top changes and the change is announced in the Fate League Discord.
